shopVOX + Enfocus Switch Integration: How Pressley.ai Came to Life
Writing shopVOX help articles taught me I have to live it and test it, that philosophy led to one of the most exciting paths of my career.
Writing the shopVOX help articles taught me something important: I can’t just write about something, I have to live it and test it thoroughly. That philosophy led me down one of the most exciting paths of my career.
When I reached the section on the shopVOX API in the help menu, it felt like opening Pandora’s box. The API is incredibly powerful. Once you have access to it, the real question becomes: What are you actually going to build with it?
The Journey to Pressley.ai
With guidance from some trusted colleagues, I set out to build something that truly complements shopVOX, not replaces it. I wanted a tool that uses shopVOX as the single source of truth and extends its power into prepress automation.
After countless hours of testing, iteration, and real-world application, Pressley.ai was born. It integrates shopVOX with Enfocus Switch and PitStop Pro, running on secure Virtual Private Servers. It takes the data and products you enter in shopVOX and automates folder creation, PDF checks, proof generation, and production-ready files.
This wasn’t easy. Building something stable, scalable, and truly useful required deep knowledge of shopVOX, Enfocus Switch, scripting, server management, and the API. I poured years of experience into it.
What Pressley Actually Does
Pressley is designed to be agnostic, but it is especially powerful when paired with shopVOX. It takes your shopVOX inputs and performs consistent, reliable prepress tasks at machine speed. It allows sales, CSRs, and production staff to submit PDFs from anywhere, while the automation runs 24/7 in the background.
I haven’t seen anything else that does quite what Pressley does in this specific way. That’s not marketing speak, it’s the truth from someone who has spent years in the trenches.
Important Truths
- You do not need Pressley to succeed with shopVOX. Many shops do great without it.
- Pressley is not for everyone. It’s for shops that want to take the next step in automation and are ready for a private, controlled environment.
- I built it because I saw the gap, and I wanted to solve it the right way.
My Role
I don’t push Pressley on every customer. I help shops understand their options and decide what makes sense for them. Whether you choose to explore Pressley or focus on optimizing your core shopVOX setup, my goal is the same: help you build a system that works for your shop.
If the idea of extending shopVOX with intelligent prepress automation resonates with you, I’d be happy to show you what’s possible.
